Light Up Southwold

Light Up Southwold organises the Southwold Christmas Lights.  We took over from the previous group in 2023 have restored the Christmas lights to their former glory by lighting up the town for Christmas. We fundraise throughout the year and organise a family switch on event on the last Saturday in November.  We have a Christmas street market in the high street during the afternoon with live entertainment in the market place.  Father Christmas arrives late in the afternoon and makes his way along the high street to switch on the lights from the town hall balcony.  Then Santa greets the local children in his grotto in the Adnams Tour Centre at the back of The Swan.
