Cycle Hire

The countryside and coastline of east Suffolk is both beautiful and gentle, which makes it ideal for exploring on two wheels. It’s not always convenient to bring your own bike with you though, so hiring is a great alternative. Road bikes, electric bikes, mountain bikes, tandems, tag-alongs and tourers … take your pick and get exploring.

Ferry

Crossing the river on the Walberswick Ferry is one of life’s simple pleasures, evoking a long gone era. The wooden rowing boats can carry up to 12 passengers at a time, while a motor launch is used when conditions are unsuitable for rowing, or there’s a large demand for crossing the river. There’s no timetable, simply turn up and they’ll take you across at the next available opportunity.
