The Water Clock

Southwold Pier hosts a whimsical attraction: a Water Clock featuring peeing sculptures designed by Tim Hunkin and Will Jackson in 1998.

Created to highlight water recycling, the clock uses salvaged copper from old hot water cylinders and pumps water from a well to power a half-hourly show. This cheeky installation is one of Southwold’s most popular sights, delighting visitors with its playful and punctual performances.
