Alfred Corry Lifeboat Museum
The Alfred Corry is an ex RNLI lifeboat that served Southwold from 1893-1918. Once decommissioned, she was turned into a gentleman’s yacht and sailed until the mid-1990s.
A trust was then set up by local volunteers to restore her to her original 1893 specification.
She is housed down at Southwold Harbour in the ex Cromer Lifeboat shed – built 1923 – which used to sit on the end of their pier.
We are run entirely by volunteers and aim to open at weekends and some week days. Free to enter but donations are welcomed.
