During the summer it’s possible to hire a beach wheelchair which has larger tyres that makes travelling across the sand easier. Our beach wheelchairs are free to use. Advance booking is required via beach.wheelchairs@eastsuffolk.gov.uk (minimum 3-days notice please). Dates/days of hire day are subject to availability.
Disabled Parking
The car park in front of Southwold Pier has specific spaces for blue badge holders. Other car parks are unlined, so whilst disabled motorists will be able to use them, there are not defined spaces allocated and the surface may not be smooth as the lined car park at the Pier.
